NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION
At the May 31, 2024 AGM, membership unanimously voted to dissolve the association based on lack of engagement, and no one volunteering to take on an official board executive role moving forwards.
Information will be updated here once dissolution requirements have all been met/finalized.
It has been a pleasure working with everyone who took on a leadership role with the association over the past 5 years.

The AAEM Student Bursary (2019-2024)
Leadership within the Alberta Association of Emergency Managers created a Student Bursary program and provided over $2,000 in funding for deserving Alberta-based emergency management students between 2019 and 2024.

THE AAEM VISION STATEMENT (2019)
The Alberta Association of Emergency Managers believe that todays’ Albertans deserve competent, cooperative and collaborative Emergency Management representation; between Provincial, Municipal, Indigenous, Private, Public, Non-Profit, NGO, Academic and Volunteer Disaster & Emergency Management Professionals.
THE AAEM MISSION STATEMENT (2019)
The Alberta Association of Emergency Managers builds up all sectors of our profession by developing professional skills of current and future leaders of Emergency Management in our province. We seek to enhance our own understanding of the complexity our various professions have; strive to build a broader perspective among Disaster and Emergency Management Professionals within Alberta through cross-sector collaboration, interoperability and opportunities.
THE AAEM GOALS (2019-2024)
The Alberta Association of Emergency Managers developed annual goals to guide the direction of our provincial emergency management community activities. Our Board of Directors transparently communicated these Objectives at the start of each year to our general membership and partners, and communicated completions regularly.
THE AAEM CORE VALUES (2021)
The Alberta Association of Emergency Managers developed a set of Core Values during the Fall of 2019. At our first AGM in May 2021, our members voted on the TOP 5 values that they felt reflected the AAEM community as a whole.

Societies can be revived at any time after they have been dissolved. Any interested person may revive a dissolved society. For our AAEM circumstances, an interested person is defined as anyone who had a direct relationship with the society before it was dissolved
